In this installment of the Frey Saga, Frey finds herself dealing with the return of her memory, how to control her new powers courtesy of her father, the assassination attempts against her and just what to do with Chevelle. It wasn't easy for Frey, but she proved she is worthy of the title Lord of the North and grew to be a woman who protected those she cared for.
Frey was thrown a little bit of everything in Rise of the Seven, but none (in my opinion) was as challenging as her relationship with Chevelle. Now that she remembered everything that was between the two of them, she was leary of moving forward for fear she would bond with him and cost them both. Every decision she made came at a cost to the two of them, but Frey made them believing they were for the greater good of the people of the North and for Chevelle himself. In the end though, I think Frey made the right decision in pushing those worries aside and taking her relationship with Chevelle to the place it was meant to be. They work better as a unit and that was proven in the final battle.
The storyline was well placed and I enjoyed the development of each of the characters and their roles in Frey's fight against the council. They have all proven, at one point and time, that they deserve to be in the honored role and her guards and it was nice to see how the rag tag group has come together.
I'm looking forward to more in the Frey Saga.

Great ending!!

Frey's memory is back and she also has her grandfather's power that makes her the most powerful elf in the kingdom. In the 3rd book, Frey has to deal with her past and controlling her new found power, which is not easy. She also has the task in establishing herself as the ruler of the North. Some would like to see her succeed, and others would like to see her fail and will not hesitate to help the process. Luckily she has the help of her companions to help her cope with all this. And then there is her growing relationship with Chevelle...... There are enough twists and turns and an epic battle in this book to keep you reading.
Another great installment in the Frey Saga. It's actually sad that it had to come to an end!!

Nothing as it seems

When I first started this series I was skeptical. But as you can tell I read all three. There were times I thought I would give up because the characters seemed so annoying. But in reality the were very well thought out. Complex in every way. I found myself smiling alot of the time. The story never got old we'll maybe a little bit in the second book. But it was we'll worth the read. I read a new book almost everyday and this one I would recommend.
